Register now for our upcoming webinar on sustainability!

Following the success of our previous sessions, we’re excited to announce our upcoming webinar! Save the date: it will take place on 1st October at 12:00pm (noon) CEST, featuring a presentation by our researchers Eleonora Crenna, from HES-SO, and David Wilde, from Leitat.

ANEMEL project meets in Ireland!

Over two days, the entire consortium held the first plenary meeting of the year to review the work carried out over the past six months. We were hosted by our project coordinator, the University of Galway.

Who’s who in the ANEMEL team

ANEMEL brings together a team of experts with a broad range of backgrounds. Altogether, our consortium will leverage its expertise to develop an electrolyser powered by green energy sources and based on non-critical raw materials.

Discover the different colours of hydrogen

Green, blue, grey – even purple! Although hydrogen is a colourless gas, it seems otherwise, given the numerous names adopted by industry and policymakers to define the different manufacturing methods. Don’t panic – here’s the ultimate guide to understanding the colours of hydrogen. ANEMEL clarifies concepts in hydrogen production, carbon capture, nuclear energy, and more.

Almost 100 experts attend our event in Brussels on the sustainable sourcing of seawater

ANEMEL co-organised an in-person event in Brussels on the sustainable sourcing of seawater. The workshop gathered multidisciplinary experts from academia, industry, and policymaking to discuss topics beyond green hydrogen generation, including desalination, energy generation, energy storage, and resource mining, among others. Almost 100 experts attended, showcasing the great interest among the community on reducing the environmental impact of water utilisation.

Green hydrogen – the fuel of the future?

Green hydrogen could replace fossil fuels in our transition to net-zero. But, what makes hydrogen green – and, most importantly, what are the current challenges in research and innovation towards technology transfer? ANEMEL answers these questions, and provides new tools to manufacture green hydrogen from low-grade water sources, tackling issues such as the scarcity of raw materials.

Join our in-person workshop on sustainable sourcing of seawater

ANEMEL is co-organising an in-person workshop to discuss the importance of sustainable sourcing of water in the generation of green hydrogen, as well as the production of clean chemicals, renewable fuels, minerals, and more. The event will take place at the premises of DG RTD in Brussels, on 8 and 9 June 2023.
