After the previous successful sessions of our series of free webinars, we’re pleased to announce a new presentation with our researchers specialised in sustainability. It will take place on Wednesday, 1st October at 12:00pm (noon) CEST and will feature Eleonora Crenna, from HES-SO (Switzerland), and David Wilde, from Leitat Technological Center (Spain). They will explain their work as part of the ANEMEL‘s sustainability strategy.
Eleonora Crenna is a Senior Research Associate at the Institute of Energy and Environment at HES-SO and Life cycle assessment (LCA) analyst in the CIRAIG International Consortium. In ANEMEL, she is responsible for managing and performing the LCA of our novel electrolyser system and guiding the eco-design process.
On the other hand, David Wilde is a Senior Researcher in the Sustainability Area at Leitat. His work focuses on sustainability assessments from a life cycle perspective across European research projects related to advanced technologies, the bioeconomy, food systems, and the circular economy.

During this webinar, both ANEMEL researchers will introduce the lifecycle methodologies used in ANEMEL as part of the project’s sustainability strategy. They will explain the main aspects of LCA, Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA) and Life Cycle Costing (LCC), and explore how these tools are applied to identify potential impact hotspots and guide the development of more sustainable solutions.
This will be the eighth session in our webinar series, which has featured a many speakers and topics around the world of green hydrogen. Our project coordinator, Pau Farràs, inaugurated the series with a talk on opportunities in impure water electrolysis. We also welcomed María Jaén, European Hydrogen Research Leader at EPRI Europe, who discussed the potential of hydrogen valleys for decarbonisation. Another highlight was our first multi-speaker session, co-organised with our partner the Jožef Stefan Institute (Slovenia) and exploring innovations in scaling up non-PGM catalysts for energy conversion. Missed a session? No problem, you can still watch them all for free on the ANEMEL YouTube channel.
So… mark your calendars and join us in our eighth webinar session.
