A very special ANEMEL webinar is here! We are pleased to announce the release of the first presentation in our lecture series on green hydrogen technologies, co-organised and hosted by our partner the Jožef Stefan Institute (JSI) in Ljubljana, Slovenia. This lecture features ANEMEL group leader Xile Hu, from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland. The video is now available on the ANEMEL YouTube channel.
Xile Hu is a Full Professor at EPFL, where he founded and directs the Laboratory of Inorganic Synthesis and Catalysis. His interdisciplinary research focuses on developing sustainable and efficient methods for producing bioactive compounds, non-precious electrocatalysts, and fluorine-free membranes for renewable energy conversion and storage. He co-founded the start-up NovaMea and serves as its chairman. Hu is also a Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences and a Member of the Academia Europaea.

In his presentation, Hu explains the importance of membranes in electrolysis, particularly in anion exchange membrane technologies. He provides an overview of NovaMea’s work on commercialising these membranes, together with electrocatalysts for water electrolysis. He also presents his group’s latest results, including an exciting paper on non-PGM catalysts.
So… don’t miss our ninth webinar session. And, to stay tuned for further updates and announcements about our exciting webinar series, subscribe to our ANEMEL newsletter. See you there!
