We are pleased to announce a new presentation in our lecture series on green hydrogen technologies, co-organised and hosted by our partner, the Jožef Stefan Institute (JSI) in Ljubljana, Slovenia. This session features ANEMEL project coordinator, Pau Farràs, from the University of Galway, in Ireland. The video is now available on the ANEMEL YouTube channel.
Pau Farràs is an Associate Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Galway, where he leads the ChemLight group. This group focuses on the development of molecules and materials capable of driving renewable (light-)driven reactions for the production of fuels and chemicals. Farràs is an Ambassador of the European Innovation Council, leads several EU projects, serves on the Technical Advisory Committee of Grupo Bimbo, is an Advisory Board Member of the Research Ireland project HyLIGHT, and is Co-director of Green Renewable Technologies Ltd.

In his presentation, Farràs presents the FlowPhotoChem project, which worked to convert CO₂ and sunlight directly into clean fuels such as ethylene. This was a quite ambitious project, as it combined three different technologies, including photoelectrochemical, photothermal, and electrochemical CO conversion.
