After the successful launch of our free webinar series, we are pleased to announce our fifth session! It will take place on Tuesday, 4th March at 11:00 am CET. This session will feature a presentation by our researcher Ariana Serban from EPFL, Switzerland. She will be presenting her two recently published papers on water splitting, demonstrating highly stable anion exchange membrane electrolysers without using expensive and scarce platinum-group catalysts.
Our project coordinator, Pau Farràs, inaugurated our webinar series by exploring the opportunities in impure water electrolysis, offering a promising avenue for producing green hydrogen in a more sustainable way. This was followed by our researcher Suhas Nuggehalli Sampathkumar from EPFL, Switzerland, who helped us understand a recently published paper on simulated membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs) to enhance the efficiency of water electrolysis.
María Jaén, European Hydrogen Research Leader at EPRI Europe, also joined us to discuss the potential of hydrogen valleys for decarbonisation. Lastly, in our first multi-speaker webinar, organised in collaboration with our partner the Jožef Stefan Institute, in Slovenia, we explored innovations in scaling up non-PGM catalysts for energy conversion.
